检测原理	ABTS在适当的氧化剂作用下氧化成绿色的ABTS⁺ ，在抗氧化物存在时ABTS·+的产生会被抑制，在734 nm测定ABTS·+的吸光度即可测定并计算出样本中的总抗氧化能力。Trolox是一种维生素E的类似物，具有和维生素E相近的抗氧化能力，用作其他抗氧化物总抗氧化能力的参考。例如，Trolox的总抗氧化能力为1，相同浓度情况下，其他物质的总抗氧化能力用其抗氧化能力和Trolox相应的倍数来表示。
